Memorial Day

It's memorial day and Erica's at the beach with her family and Aletha's at home for the weekend enjoying time with family!! Hope y'all have a happy weekend and take the time to thank those that make the sacrifice to serve our country and especially remember those that have lost their lives!!

Baby Emma Is Here

So remember how yesterday we said our friend Jennifer would be having her baby? Well she did just that....like literally 2 or 3 hours after that was written!! Baby Emma was 2 lbs and 15.9 ounces so she's currently in the NICU but doing great to be so little. She'll have to be in there for awhile until she puts on some weight and things like that so please pray she stays healthy and continues to grow more and more each day!! Oh yes and Jennifer is doing great too....funny how once babies are here you forget about the mommas....no but really she did awesome!! She sure has an eventful birth story to tell lets just put it that way!!

We both got to finally hold her yesterday afternoon and oh my word is she precious!! We both said it was like holding a little baby doll!

Where Have We Been??

No we haven't fell off the face of the earth we've both just been super busy.

First off last Thursday after Aiden got out of school my little family left to go to Maryland for a few days to see my cousin get married on Saturday and do a little touring.(which i took tons of pictures and will do a post on our trip soon!) Then Erica's little man Kingstin ended up last Thursday morning having an allergic reaction to something he ate...possibly eggs...so Erica had to rush to the daycare to give him Bendaryl and then to the Pediatrican for them to draw blood to test for the allergie...which she is still awaiting results.

Then also this week....yes there's a then...a few weeks ago we wrote about preparing for our friend Jennifer's baby shower. Well Monday night after we got home from Maryland I got a text from Jennifer that her water had broke!! For a minute I was excited and then I panicked because she's only 33 weeks. I called and was like its so sarly are you sure you just didnt pee in your pants?? I mean it could happen but nope she was for sure this was the real deal. For now baby Emma is still safe and sound in her Mommas tummy but tomorrow they're going to reevaluate babys size and how much fluids left to decide where to go from there. Even though her water broke she's not started laboring yet. Since she went into the hospital Monday night the doctors goal was to get her to tomorrow so babys lungs can be fully matured so we'll how things go tomorrow!!
Other than that this weekend we have Jonahs race coming up so there's just. been a lot going on the past few weeks so that's why we've been a little absent.

***UPDATE
Baby Emma will be making her entrance into the world today!! Can't wait to see her little self and praying shes healthy and for a speedy delivery for Jennifer.
