Mcknight Easter Weekend

WOW, we have had a WONDERFUL, and busy Easter weekend. On Friday Mitch and I both were off work so we spent the day as a family and running errands. I love to spend days like that with my boys!

We did a little shopping at Sam's club, then we went to Lowes to get a few things for the yard. I love this time this of the year, I love to plant flowers and just give our house that little pop of color!

On Saturday we had Mitch's family over to celebrate Easter. Everyone was suppose to be here at 10:00 and no one got here until 11:00 yep.....thats how we roll :), we all enjoyed the perfect weather.

If you know me and my boys we are HUGE race fans, Bowman Gray that is. BG is a local race track in our area that we attend every Saturday night starting at the end of April until Augest. We LOVE it. we mostly go for the Modifided races but Miller loves to watch the other devisons beacuse with the track being so small, and there being so many cars there are lots of wrecks. If you remember the show the Madhouse on TV this would be the track Im talking of. Anywho the Mods also race at other tracks under Nascar and we went Saturday night.

My friend Amanda is part of the "race family" and she comes to all the races along with a number of other people it was about 11:00 before we got home, so we had to rush to get Miller to bed so the Easter bunny could come. Even though the bunny was so tired he couldn't hold his head up, he waited like a good bunny until Miller and King were fast asleep.

Sunday Morning, Miller was in our room at 7:15 jumping up and down ready to see what the Easter bunny brought. After we opened all of the goodies we got ready for church. I love Easter, and I love to praise my God for sending his son, yes his son to die on the cross for me and YOU! Thank you God!!!!! Church was so great. Its was filled with smiling faces, beautiful Easter dresses and we heard a Wonderful message. I LOVE MY CHURCH!

Then it was photo opp time!

After Church we went to my parents house for a little Easter fun!

So today we're both major busy getting together with family!!  Erica's having her hubby's

family over to their house for an early Easter get together and Aletha is on her way to West Virginia

to meet up with her daddy's side of the family!

It's gonna be family overload this weekend but that's ok!  Enjoy your weekend and celebrate Easter

to the fullest!

Easter Bunny

Don't know about ya'll but we are so ready for Easter! Aletha will be heading out of town tomorrow to West Virginia to spend Easter with family, and Erica will be staying here in the good ol DC (Davidson County).We look foward to Easter egg hunts, great food, time with family, Church and MOST inportatnly remembering that OUR God died on the cross and ROSE again!

We both have took our kids to see the Easter Bunny.  Erica and her family went after church on Sunday and Aletha took  tried to take her kids last night. Aiden (Aletha's oldest) wouldn't have no part in it, and begged to stay with Aletha's parents. Addi was all for it, she was so excited to see the Easter Bunny and to tell him what she really wanted him to leave in her basket. When they got there she flipped out, started screaming and crying, "he is scarey mommy, scarey"!! so it was a NO go for her as well.  Isn't funny how one year they LOVE Santa and the Easter Bunny and the next you would think you asked them to cut their arm off to sit on his lap.

Erica's kids did well with their visit with the Easter Bunny. Normally Miller (Erica's oldest) is the one that will have no part of Santa or the Easter Bunny but this year with his little brother beside him and his best buddy Trip he was ready to go.

 Trip is our friend with Autism :) He is like part of Erica's  family, he is close to much of the family, and  Miller and him are best friends :) His mother is one of Erica's moms best friends. If the Lord calls Trip's mother home before him he will be Erica's third child. Bless him!!

Girl Time

I'm sure everyone is on the same page that as women, mommys and wives you just need a little girl time sometimes!!  For both of us getting our hair done is something we look forward to!  We've both

been getting our hair colored for so long its almost become an addiction!! ;)  Just recently we've started going to the same hairstylist...well Erica has been going to her for awhile and known her before that but I recently started seeing her as well.  Her name's Kelli and if you live in this area you should check her out!!

So where we we going with this? Oh yeah girl time! 

We just so happened to have our hair appointments scheduled back  to back which is a rare thing with our schedules so we had fun and snapped a few pictures.

In the middle is Kelli!  She's located in Kernersville check her out!

Aletha had just finished up and then it was Erica's turn!

And then the following afternoon we decided we needed a trip to none other than Target!!  We both needed to find something to wear for Easter and usually when we shop seperately we'll take a picture of an outfit and text the picture for the other one's opinion....so it was nice to shop with each other.  BUT go figure the husbands said go shopping and we could barely find anything!!  Don't y'all hate when that happens?

Look at these fancy shmancy new carts at Target!  When we were checking out the cashier asked us if we liked them and then said a lady earlier in the day said they pushed so much faster she almost ran with it?  We were like what?  And then of course laughed.  I mean they were all nice and all but so nice you wanna run? Really? 

 One more day closer to the weekend and enjoying Easter and celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.  Anyone have big plans for Easter?  One of us is celebrating here and the other going out of town....so stay tuned!

Wordless Wedensday: BIRTHDAY BOY STYLE

Family Birthday

A few weeks ago we celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday with the family.

Miller and his cousin Ryan are only 6 months apart so when the two of them get together they have so much fun!They both share a LOVE for sports and just being boys outside. We were at the mall when we came across these jerseys and of course we HAD to scoop them up....I mean it only fits seeing how my nephews name is RYAN :) 

I just love the time we get to spend with Mitch's sisters kids. Sadly we just never get to spend the time I would love to spend with them, all the cosins just love each other!

By the time the cake and presents were over with the kids dashed to the trapoline, and baby King was bouched to sleep....yep thats how we roll

And then my third child got in on the fun. 

We had a wonderful day and lots of tired kids afterwards! :)
